Extra Story 7

　　I scared Janet. She didn't reply to my messages for an entire week. And that was to be expected.
　　I wanted to apologize to her, but in my panic, I resorted to the most basic method I could think of: cooking her favorite dishes.
　　After getting her location from Joaquin, I thought I might still have a chance to redeem myself.
　　While waiting for her to open the door, I learned a rather pleasant fact.
　　This home, which only belonged to Janet, had never seen a man inside.
　　That man and I, maybe we still start from the same point.
　　Janet didn't stop me from entering her house. Instead, she set a bowl and fork in front of me and invited me to have a bite with her.
　　I couldn't have been happier, yet I genuinely felt nauseous.
　　The dishes she liked were a real challenge for my culinary skills. My usual dishes couldn't compete with even a tenth of the complexity these dishes required, so all the failed attempts in the kitchen these past few days ended up in my stomach.
　　I wanted to apologize for the impulsiveness of that day, but just as I was about to, my phone rang. It was Meadow calling. She seemed to be struggling with that once-obedient child of hers.
　　With Howard not around, I couldn't just ignore her.
　　Before leaving, Janet poked at the food in her bowl and asked me if I was the one who made it. I admitted it.
　　For it to taste this bad and still be recognized… She must have feelings for me.
