Felix was my so-called brother.
Ten years ago, my mother remarried Felix's father.
We became siblings.
To the world, we were the ideal brother and sister. But the truth was—
He had a terrible temper, and when he lost control, he was like a beast. The scar on my forehead was from him. I bled so much that I passed out. Our relationship had never been good, until something happened during my senior year of high school that softened the tension. After graduation, he went abroad to study. Before he left, he warned me to behave, even saying I shouldn't date anyone.
But with the distance between us, I paid no attention to his words. After I started working, I got engaged to my boyfriend of three years. Felix saw the distraction in my eyes and gripped me harder. I gasped in pain.
The low growl sounded like it came from the depths of a dark abyss.
"Has he touched you?" Felix asked.
His lips trailed over my cheek again, before returning to my lips.
"I told you, you're mine. No one else can touch you."
"Felix, you really are being disobedient." His lips were like fire, leaving a burn wherever they landed.
I trembled helplessly, my teeth biting down on my lip in a desperate effort to hold myself together.
It seemed Felix didn't need me to answer.
He stepped back, casually as if discussing the weather, and said, "Break off the engagement."
I widened my eyes, my heart pounding in my chest. "I won't."
Felix grabbed my chin, forcing me to lift my head. His thumb slid from my lips to my jaw, then down my neck. His long fingers locked around my throat.
"Ten years apart, and my little cat has grown claws," he muttered.
"Ha, it's fine. I'll just pull them out."
