Lorena pushed open the door and, upon seeing the scene before her, seemed utterly shocked. Shaking, she pointed at us:
"What… what are you doing?"
"Stay away from him!"
She ran over to Killian's bed and promptly slapped him across the face, "I shouldn't have trusted a second-generation rich like you. You said you liked me, but you're just playing around!"
"You don't even understand what respect means! You don't deserve my love!"
After saying that, she quickly ran out.
Her back looked filled with pain and helplessness.
Killian covered his face, gritting his teeth: "Is that woman crazy?"
After I repeated, "You brought her here yourself," Killian looked at me, completely confused as if asking, "Am I the crazy one?" He proceeded to call his secretary and the company's vice president.
The conclusion was clear—
With her own efforts, Lorena had already become his personal secretary, and their relationship was extremely ambiguous. Everyone in the company had noticed it.
At the end, the vice president added: "Mr. Schwartz, you said it yourself, Ms. Jimenez is very hardworking, and you admire such hardworking people."
Killian was struck as if by lightning. He didn't come to his senses even after hanging up the phone: "I do admire hardworking people, but how could I admire someone as foolish as that?"
"Patricia, do you know that she can trip even while wearing flat shoes? Last time, when we went out for a dinner with a client, after she tripped, she just stood there and cheered herself on."
As Killian spoke, he tightly shut his eyes, clearly trying to suppress something: "That night, I dreamt of her getting up from the ground and, in front of the partners, raising her fists and shouting slogans."
"Lorena, you can do it! It's just a little fall, no big deal. There's nothing in the world that can defeat you. Go, Lorena, you're the best!"
I had to admit, Killian was really good at mocking people, especially when he high-pitched his voice, imitating Lorena saying those words. By that point, I was clawing at the floor like I was digging my way through a Disney castle.
I forced myself to interrupt him: "Stop it. I feel like I'm going to throw up."
Killian, his face as dark as thunder, retorted, "Do you think I want to remember that?"
Then he pounded the pillow fiercely: "So how could I have an ambiguous relationship with her? How could I bring her back home?"
In an instant, I had a thought—could it be that Killian had slipped and suddenly come to his senses?
