Chapter 7

　　After the project manager was sent off, Sebastian and I headed downstairs together.
　　People glanced at us as we walked through the building. Those prying, gossiping eyes were impossible to miss.
　　I silently lamented.
　　Thank goodness Sebastian and I don't work at the same company, or I'd probably be the subject of every office rumor by now.
　　However, Sebastian seemed to relish the attention.
　　[Look, don't we make a great couple?]
　　[No surprise she's my wife—having her by my side makes me look so good!]
　　Me?
　　"Can you get a grip? Those stares are clearly just people gossiping!" I thought.
　　Once we were out of the office, I noticed that Sebastian still hadn't left. I thought maybe he was just waiting to see me off in the cab.
　　Fine by me.
　　When the taxi arrived, I opened the door and got in, but before I could speak, Sebastian followed me in.
　　What's going on?
　　Does he want to send me back to the office?
　　That would be over the top!
　　"What are you doing?" I asked, unable to stop myself, but received a calm response from Sebastian: "Didn't you say we were having dinner?
　　Don't let his icy demeanor fool me —inside, he's burning up with heat.
　　I raised an eyebrow and nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes, dinner."
　　After all, Sebastian is paying, so why not enjoy a free meal?
　　Once we were seated at the restaurant, Sebastian immediately handed me the menu.
　　I stole a glance at the prices, nearly having my jaw drop to the floor.
　　This place looked shabby from the outside, and yet each dish costs hundreds?
　　I glanced back at Sebastian, who appeared completely unfazed.
　　I guess I won't hold back, then.
　　While ordering, Sebastian added several signature dishes to the list.
　　With a nonchalant expression, he turned to me and said, "These dishes are pretty good. You should try them."
　　Internally, though, he was thinking:
　　[Why did my wife only order a few dishes? She's already so thin. Is she still trying to diet? My heart aches for her!]
　　I... so...
　　Even if he's concerned about me, he didn't need to order so many dishes!
　　But as it turned out,
　　Sebastian did have good taste. The restaurant didn't look impressive on the outside, but the food is really delicious.
　　I ate so much I could barely walk.
