Chapter 9

　　I quickly pulled my hand back.
　　I clumsily wrapped the bandages around him and went out to call the doctor back, then sat in the corridor, wrapped in my coat, staring blankly.
　　My mind was a mess, and all I could hear was the system's gleeful voice.
　　"He likes you, huh? Incest?"
　　"I told you, two people of similar age, no blood relation, living together for so long—something was bound to happen eventually."
　　I ignored it and waited until my mood settled a bit, grabbing my coat and heading toward the stairs.
　　I hadn't taken more than a few steps before two bodyguards in black stopped me.
　　"Miss, the young master said you are not allowed to step out of here today."
　　"Restricting someone's personal freedom is illegal."
　　I insisted on leaving, and then they received a phone call. They turned to tell me.
　　"The young master said, if you insist on leaving, you'll have to step over his corpse."
　　I couldn't believe it. "Has he gone mad?"
　　I took a step forward, looking at the bodyguards' uneasy expressions, and remembered Lucas's earlier reckless, desperate appearance...
　　I clenched my fist and pulled my leg back.
　　Angrily, I returned to Lucas's hospital room.
