Chapter 3

　　As I reminisced, I touched my own cheek, which now looked like my real-world face. It resembled the twisted character from the story, though I had a small mole on my face, which in the right light could easily make me look like someone else.
　　I had just opened a file to review the materials when the system's voice suddenly echoed in my mind.
　　Its tone was trembling: "After your death, Alexander nearly went mad, Eleanor nearly lost her mind, and even Lucas, who was always indifferent, ended up attempting suicide."
　　I was slightly surprised. "So...?"
　　"You must return."
　　The system, heartbroken, said: "The karma you created, you must repay yourself."
　　"Hello—"
　　"Please, Seraphine!"
　　The system almost knelt down to me: "They're crazy, this world is ruined, and I will be destroyed too. Please, save me."
　　I: "..."
　　I sighed.

　　Reluctantly quitting my job, I packed my bags and returned to The City. When I got off the plane, the sky was clear and blue.
　　Lucas, the second male lead, had attempted suicide and was now in City Hospital.
　　I fiddled with the bracelet on my wrist, unable to understand why he wanted to end his life.
　　Had he fallen in love with Eleanor but couldn't have her?
　　When I arrived at City Hospital, I slowly took the elevator, staring down at my phone, my hair falling loose and covering most of my face.
　　Alexander and Eleanor walked in, holding takeout boxes.
　　Eleanor: "When is Seraphine's funeral?"
　　Alexander sneered but didn't reply.
　　Eleanor grew impatient: "You're all insane! Seraphine is gone, she's at peace now, don't you get it?"
　　She suddenly thought of something, her hatred growing.
　　"Lucas is a psychopath. It's clearly his fault cause Seraphine's death, and yet he's pretending to be so sentimental. If he really wants to die, why doesn't he just jump off a building and die faster!"
　　They cursed as they walked down the stairs.
　　Leaving me standing there, completely confused.
　　In my mind, I asked the system: "I remember the three siblings got along very well, so why are they turning against each other now?"
　　Also, how was Lucas responsible for my death? What did he have to do with it?
　　The system sighed.
