But my classmates, fully engrossed in the drama, flooded the chat with mocking comments:
"Why isn't Rosalie explaining herself?"
"What's there to explain? That's obviously her."
I frowned in irritation and typed a reply:
"Yes, that's my photo, but I never sent it to Caspian. He's the one spreading it. He's the one you should be blaming."
"..."
For a moment, the chat fell silent.
Then came an even more vicious barrage of messages:
"If you didn't send it, did the photo magically appear in his hands?"
"At least lie better. If you'd said he Photoshopped it, I might've believed you."
"Why would Caspian bother framing you? Even if you stripped naked in front of him, he wouldn't care."
I took a deep breath.
Caspian was handsome and academically gifted; in their eyes, I was just the desperate simp. Nothing I said would convince them otherwise.
Realizing the tide of opinion was against me, I tagged Caspian directly, demanding he explain himself.
A few minutes later, Caspian finally responded, typing lazily as if he didn't care:
"Oops, accidentally posted it in the class group."
"But so what? You're not exactly innocent, are you?"
