Vivian's funeral was very simple.
Her surgery failed, and she didn't make it off the operating table.
Her parents only invited close family and friends to attend.
Mia was an exception.
Learning of Vivian's death, Mis initially didn't believe it.
In university, their relationship was the closest, even though they lost touch after graduation, in her memory, Vivian had always been healthy, how could she suddenly be gone?
Mia couldn't understand it.
From Vivian's parents, she learned that Vivian had a brain tumor.
A brain tumor.
Vivian must have suffered a lot. It required chemotherapy, a lot of medication, and would cause hair loss.
And there was April.
His relationship with Vivian, only she knew about.
She thought he would always like Vivian.
But he ended up marrying someone else, even though he used to like Vivian so much, why did he stop liking her?
"Vivian, April is a scumbag, don't like him anymore, okay?"
At Vivian's gravesite, Mia cried her heart out.
But there was no one left to respond to her.
Another spring came around.
When Mia appeared at Vivian's grave again, there were two more people by her side.
They were April and Sylvia.
But neither of them knew whose grave this was. Mia only told April that it was a classmate's grave.
"You should pay your respects to her."
"At least you were... classmates."
Mia's voice was already choked with tears, but she still pulled Sylvia away.
April stood alone in front of the gravestone, looking down at the photo on it.
His heart felt a sharp, inexplicable pain.
Before he could react, tears had already started to fall.
"How strange."
He touched the tears at the corner of his eye, his face filled with confusion.
Even though he didn't recognize the person in the photo, why did he feel sad?
How strange.
After coming out, Sylvia threw herself into April's arms.
April held her carefully, whispering instructions: "Be careful, you have another person inside you now."
"I know, darling, I'm not as delicate as you think."
Mia watched as April affectionately tapped Sylvia's nose, a sourness welled up within her again.
She shouldn't have brought them here.
But she really wanted to ask a question.
"April, do you still remember Vivian?"
The man paused for a few seconds, then shook his head.
"Who is Vivian?"
It seemed he really didn't have any memories of her.
The wind blew fiercely, Mia only heard Sylvia's cry of surprise.
"Dear, why are you crying?"
"Oh, I guess the wind got in my eyes."
"Let's go, we should head home."
Mia silently watched as the two of them held hands, as they walked further and further away, her eyes turning red.
She looked at the photo on the gravestone.
"Vivie, in the next life, don't like April anymore."
Her whisper disappeared completely in the sound of the wind, Mia closed her eyes, letting the tears slide down from the corners of her eyes.
The spring is not vividly, and the silva meet it April at spring.
Seeing spring, but not old friends.
