When he was a sophomore, Jason noticed that a girl was constantly following him. No matter where he went, she would always be there. Initially, Jason was annoyed. If she liked him, why couldn't she just say it instead of sneaking around behind him? He confronted her several times, but each time, she would make cute, embarrassed expressions when caught.
One day, Jason suddenly stepped back, catching her off guard. Her eyes widened in panic, and she stammered, "Ah! I just remembered I left something in my dorm room!" With that, she turned and fled. Jason couldn't understand how someone could be so clumsy.
Later, he learned that the girl's name was Aria. Like him, she was also a sophomore, and they shared a few classes. Jason wondered if she had chosen those classes just because of him.
One day in class, Jason spotted Aria with her head down, absorbed in her phone. He decided to sit next to her, placing his backpack on the desk beside her. "Sorry, this seat is taken," she said without looking up, pushing his backpack away.
"Oh, I see. Sorry," Jason replied, pretending to leave. Suddenly, Aria looked up, her face turning bright red. "It's fine. My friend just told me she won't be coming to class!" she blurted out. Jason smiled and took the seat.
Just before class started, another girl rushed in and gave Aria a knowing look. It was clear the friend wasn’t actually absent. Jason amused himself by teasing Aria a bit, but soon lost interest, deciding that only the most beautiful girls were worthy of his attention. He began dating the most beautiful girl in another department. Aria seemed to disappear after learning about his new girlfriend.
Jason thought Aria had moved on. But after breaking up with the departmental beauty, Aria reappeared, following him again. This cycle repeated through several relationships until, in their internship semester, Jason accepted a confession from the school beauty. He stopped paying attention to Aria altogether.
However, something strange happened. Jason began dreaming about Aria and even saw her face when he was with his new girlfriend. These visions persisted through graduation. Jason saw a psychologist but found no relief. Determined to find Aria, he discovered she had married someone else right after graduation.
Jason couldn’t understand why this bothered him so much. He found out that Aria lived in the same neighborhood as him. He wondered if she had followed him there. Jason decided to see if she was unhappy in her marriage, thinking he could have an affair with her. However, when he approached her, she showed no reaction. She was constantly smiling at her husband, which infuriated Jason. How could she, who had liked him for so long, be happy with another man?
One day, Jason saw an opportunity and, without thinking, ran over Aria’s husband with his car. He thought Aria would come back to him, but she died shortly after. Jason was devastated. When he woke up, he found himself back in time, entangled with the school beauty again.
This time, Jason was determined to change things. He took the school beauty to get an abortion, but fate had other plans. At the hospital, he saw Aria again. To his shock, she was already married. Jason couldn’t understand why things had changed. When Aria told him she didn’t like him anymore, he was furious and tried to repeat the actions of his past life, but he failed.
In prison, Jason reflected on his actions. He believed he truly loved Aria and couldn't comprehend why he rejected her. She would be his girlfriend a long ago if he accepted it.
