Chapter 48

　　Aria found Jason's words baffling. Lived another life before this one? Had he died and come back to life like she had?
　　Her eyes widened, almost popping out of their sockets. Could it be?
　　"You might not believe this, but in my last life, I ran over Nathan and killed him. I never expected you to die with him," Jason said, dropping a bombshell.
　　Aria, already in shock, felt her heart sink. She tried to act like she didn’t believe him, forcing a laugh. "You killed Nathan in your last life? Are you dreaming?"
　　"I know it's hard to believe," Jason said, stepping closer.
　　Aria instinctively stepped back, protecting her belly.
　　Jason cornered her, his handsome face twisted with madness. "You chased after me for so long. Why did you suddenly give up and marry another man?"
　　"I really did kill Nathan, but I never thought you would die too. And now we're both back, but before I could find you, you married him again! It's even earlier than in your previous life!"
　　"I... I don’t understand what you’re saying!" Aria felt a wave of terror wash over her. 
　　She now believed Jason had also been reborn. Their wedding had indeed been earlier this time around. It should be a few days later in his previous life
　　"When I came back, I got rid of the one stood our way as quickly as I could. I made Mary get an abortion. But I saw you are pregnant with his child?" Jason grabbed Aria’s shoulders, his grip painfully tight, making her face turn pale.
　　"You...!" Aria tried to push him away, but Jason was out of control.
　　Seeing her delicate, pained expression softened Jason momentarily, but his eyes hardened again when he looked at her belly. "You weren’t pregnant in the last life. How are you pregnant this time?"
　　"Get away from me!" Aria shouted as he reached for her stomach, fear giving her strength.
　　Her shout startled Jason, and Aria used the moment to duck under his arm and run.
　　"Aria, you can’t escape this time. I’ll run Nathan over again if I have to," Jason’s voice, like a demon's, echoed in her mind, making her blood run cold.
　　No! Nathan can't die again!
　　"If you try that, I’ll drag you to hell with me!" Aria screamed, her eyes red with anger.
　　Jason was taken aback that she will say that to him. 
　　"You used to like me. How can you..."He jerked his head up suddenly and knitted his brows, his dark eyes emanating a glow of puzzlement.
　　"I don’t like you anymore!" Aria declared without hesitation.
　　Jason went pale. "No... Impossible... How can you say that..."
　　Aria clutched her belly, feeling the baby move as if trying to comfort her.
　　Just as she was about to say more, a familiar warm embrace enveloped her. 
　　She trembled, fearing it was Jason. But a familiar voice came from above her and calmed her instantly, "Darling. It's okay, it’s me."
