The next day.
When Aria woke up, her first instinct was to reach for her phone to check the time. But as she fumbled around, she felt something unfamiliar and very pleasant to the touch. After a few moments of groggily feeling around, she furrowed her brows and opened her eyes slightly, only to be met with a pair of gleaming eyes that exuded a mischievous glint even in the dim light.
She suddenly remembered that she wasn’t in her own room but in their new house, and last night...
Before she could fully recall the details of the previous night, Nathan turned over, pinning her beneath him. His hands were on either side of her head, and he leaned down slightly. “I didn’t expect my wife to be so enthusiastic in the morning. I’m enjoying this very much,” he said.
Aria’s face turned crimson. She pushed against him. “What time is it?”
Nathan grabbed her wandering hand, his breath coming in heavier. His voice turned husky, his breath warm against her ear. He brushed his lips against her earlobe and couldn’t resist nibbling it. “It should be around ten,” he murmured.
Aria squirmed, uncomfortable with Nathan's teasing, especially the warm breath on her ear, which made her body shiver involuntarily. Moreover, the most crucial issue was...
Nathan couldn’t hold back any longer. He let his hands slide over her back. “Let’s stay in bed a little longer,” he suggested.
“No, we have things to do today!” Aria protested and managed to push him off.
When she finally got out of bed, she sat there feeling drained, her face showing clear signs of exhaustion. She rubbed her temples and muttered, “This wolf in sheep’s clothing. He looks so serious, but he turns into a beast at night!”
Aria silently cursed a few more times before grabbing the clothes Nathan had prepared for her. She slowly made her way to the bathroom. The sound of running water filled the bathroom as she let the hot water rejuvenate her.
After standing under the shower for two hours, Aria finally felt alive again. She took her time coming downstairs and was surprised to find Nathan wearing an apron and bringing out a plate of food.
Aria’s eyes widened. Nathan was cooking? She couldn’t believe it. She hadn’t noticed this skill in him in her previous life.
Nathan saw Aria and his eyes softened. “Come and eat something. I made some soup to help you recover. You need to build up your strength.”
Embarrassed by his comment about her lack of strength, Aria’s face turned red. She remembered how she had fainted at the most critical moment last night and heard him mutter something about needing to build up her strength and improve her blood circulation.
Before marriage, Nathan had been so proper that Aria sometimes felt like the wild one. But post-marriage, his proper demeanor vanished. Aria couldn’t help but think that this was the real Nathan.
Aria indulged in a bout of wild imagination.
