"I actually find her shameless behavior quite cute," Nathan answered calmly.
He continued cutting his steak as he spoke.
Aria, who had been thinking about how to escape this awkward situation, was taken aback by Nathan's next words and looked at him in shock.
Her husband from her past life knew nothing about sweet talking. In this life, he seemed to have gotten quite good at it?
Fortunately, Mrs. Lawson was still chatting with Mrs. Harrison and didn’t hear Nathan’s words.
Aria slowly moved closer to Nathan, tugging at his sleeve.
Nathan glanced at her, puzzled by her small gesture.
"Do you have a crush on me?" Aria asked with a smile, her lips curling mischievously.
Nathan felt a bit uneasy with this question but nodded, "I'm quite satisfied with your current state, though I find your makeup a bit visually annoying. You can choose to go without it; I won’t mind."
Nathan's straightforward response was both a compliment and a bit hurtful. Another woman might have thrown a drink in his face for such a comment about her appearance.
But Aria, seemingly unfazed, continued to preen herself, "I knew you liked me from the start."
She looked a bit smug.
Nathan chewed on a piece of meat, finding it unusually unpalatable. He made a mental note not to come to this restaurant again.
"I agree to get the marriage certificate with you, but I have one condition."
"What condition?" Nathan asked, wondering why he cared so much about whether they got the certificate or not.
"I want to choose the location of our marital home."
"Hmm?" Nathan was surprised by her condition but replied, "I've already taken care of that. You don’t need to choose."
"Don't tell me you bought a house in S Garden," Aria said, thinking of their previous residence.
He had suggested moving there because he didn’t want to live elsewhere.
"How did you know I bought a house in S Garden?"
He hadn’t mentioned it to her at all.
Aria felt a bit stiff but quickly recovered.
She had forgotten about this detail. In their previous life, he never told her about buying the house. She only found out when they moved in after the wedding.
She hurried to explain, "Oh, I heard from Mrs. Harrison."
Nathan thought seriously. Did he tell his mother about this?
Seeing him lost in thought, Aria quickly diverted his attention, "My condition is not to live in S Garden. I want to live in Y Garden."
"Not live in S Garden? Are you sure?" Nathan squinted slightly at her words.
He had bought the house there because he found out that Aria had always wanted to live in that community, constantly begging her family to buy a house there.
That area was in the city center, where land was extremely expensive.
For the Lawson family in the present, it was a bit difficult.
He also knew why Aria wanted to live there—it was where the man she had a crush on for years had his marital home.
When Nathan first found out, he was filled with anger, but it soon faded.
So what if she had a crush on that guy? He would show her that he was no worse than that man.
In their past life, Aria indeed saw how capable Nathan was, even impressively so in bed, making her forget about the man she used to adore.
