Aria was contemplating her future plans while, on the other side, Nathan was already home and knocking on the door of his father’s study.
“Come in.”
Nathan walked in, looked at his father sitting in the chair, and nodded slightly, “Dad.”
“Hmm?” Mr. Harrison looked up at his son.
Nathan sat in the chair opposite his father, “Dad, I’m going to get the marriage certificate with Aria in a couple of days.”
“Hmm?” Mr. Harrison was a bit surprised, “The girl you went on a blind date with today, according to your mother?”
“Yes, it’s her.” Nathan’s face softened as he thought about the events of the day, his eyes filled with subtle joy.
Seeing Nathan’s reaction, Mr. Harrison realized that his son had taken a liking to this girl.
“I have no objections. You’ve never made me worry since you were young. Have you told your mother?”
“Not yet, I’ll tell her soon.” Nathan shook his head.
“Okay, Does she agree to go with you to get the marriage certificate?” Although Harrison's father doesn't object, wouldn't it be unlikely that the woman's family would agree to such a sudden marriage registration so quickly?
“That’s not a problem. I just need you and Mom to join us for a meal tomorrow.”
“That’s fine.” Mr. Harrison was very pleased with his son’s arrangement.
But since there was a girl who could capture his son's interest, he was quite curious.
Finally, Nathan informed Mrs. Harrison about it. Naturally, she was excited. She had been nagging her son about this blind date for a long time before he finally agreed.
And now, he actually liked the girl after just one meeting!
She decided to ask her dancing buddy about her daughter’s thoughts.
Nathan returned to his room and looked at the information that had just been sent to his computer.
It was about Aria’s recent activities.
There hadn’t been much going on with Aria lately, except for an incident ten days ago when she fell down the stairs and was hospitalized for a few days. She was discharged three days ago.
Moreover, her personality seemed to have changed a bit since she was discharged.
She used to have a childlike demeanor, but now she seemed more composed.
Composed?
Nathan rested his chin on his hand, his misty eyes fixed on the computer screen.
Today, Aria had seemed familiar to him.
Since his mother had set him up on the blind date, he had started to pay attention to her. She seemed nice enough, so he waited until she graduated from college and her long-time crush got married, leaving her heart empty, before agreeing to meet her.
But at the first sight of her, he found that she wasn’t heartbroken at all. In fact, she was...
Nathan’s lips curved upwards.
Beautiful?
She was indeed beautiful, with a naturally youthful and lively face that was captivating even without makeup.
Figure?
He hadn’t paid much attention to that yet. Maybe he’d take a closer look tomorrow.
Personality?
Nathan smiled wryly.
Her personality...
But he liked it quite a bit.
Nathan didn’t expect that he’d really be so interested in a girl, even though he was a bit concerned about her previous crush.
If Aria couldn’t forget that guy, he didn’t mind helping her out.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Lawson received a call from Mrs. Harrison about the family dinner the next day.
Mrs. Lawson agreed without hesitation.
The younger generation might not know each other, but they had known each other for a long time.
Mrs. Lawson and Mrs. Harrison had a history, which is why they were not concerned about Nathan and Aria getting their marriage certificate after only one meeting.
