Chapter 8

　　After completing the task given by the system, it kept its promise, booking a plane ticket and arranging accommodation for me. "The original system has crashed, but no worries, player, please live peacefully." These were the last words the system uttered before vanishing.
　　I found myself in a completely unfamiliar city, where I changed all my contact information. I resumed my studies, took the college entrance exam, entered university, and began working. My new life was entirely different from before. Sometimes, I felt as if something was missing and found myself unconsciously recalling the details of my kisses with Dylan... Habit is a terrifying thing.
　　I also pondered how the Monroe family, who had raised me for over a decade, could discard me so easily. Surprisingly, the only ones who seemed regretful about my departure were Black brother—the men in black who assisted me in "kidnapping" Dylan. I heard they declined to continue working as bodyguards for Emily and were dismissed by the Monroe family. Later, they were hired by another mysterious person. At least they were better off than me—a poor soul who had just been dismissed.
　　When the system and I parted, it gifted me a house. Combined with the savings from my time at the Monroe house, it was a considerable sum. Despite everything, my love for collecting crystals remained unchanged.
