Chapter 10

　　I picked up the phone and called Daddy. I told him Mommy might leave us like stars vanishing from the sky.
　　Daddy asked, "Is Mommy next to you? Did she tell you to say this?"
　　I shook my head even though he couldn't see me.I said, "No, Mommy isn't here. I wanted to tell you myself."
　　But Daddy shouted angrily,"Then let her die."
　　I felt so sad. Tears flowed down, "Daddy, you're a bad father!"
　　I didn't know what "die" meant but it sounded scary to me.
　　After hanging up,I turned around and found Mommy standing quietly at the door.
　　She walked over and hugged me tight. She patted my back and comforted me with her soft voice, "Baby, don't cry. Mommy will always be with you. Even as the wind or the rain, I'll be by your side."
　　When Daddy came home in the evening,he blame Mommy for letting me say so many strange things.
　　I hid behind the sofa. I saw Mommy listened quietly without saying a word.
　　After Daddy stopped talking,Mommy laughed, "You must love me too,right? Otherwise how could we shared a bed for so many years?"
　　"You should know the difference despite our resemblance. Dont you have any love for me,Griffin?"
　　Tears fell from Mommy's eyes. I had never seen a person started laughing and ended up crying"。.
　　Daddy looked very serious. He said, "I know what you have done! Do you think you can control me with a child? You are here just to meet my physiological needs."
　　After hearing this,Mommy stopped laughing and crying. She just looked quietly at Daddy.
　　Finally, Mommy spoke slowly with emphasis for each words, "Don't think about divorcing me. I'd rather die than divorce."
